REACH Program

While Rush continues to provide excellent training for young athletes both on and off the field, it also doesn’t ignore the marginalized youth in developing countries. With a vast network already in place as the world’s largest soccer club, Rush’s REACH program (Rush Equipment Assisting Children) utilizes its worldwide partners to deliver soccer uniforms and equipment all across the globe.

Launched in 2002, REACH has played a pivotal role in equipping teams and clubs in underserved areas around the world with vital supplies for the game of soccer. During that time, the program has received attention from major networks as well as praise from U.S. military officials about the positive impact it had had on conflict territories.

“REACH is a way for us to connect with others in a meaningful way around the game of soccer building a sense of camaraderie and empathy for others,” said Tim Schulz, Rush Founder and President. “We also have the opportunity to connect with Rush clubs in developing countries and get them the expertise and funding they need to continue to train players in their clubs.”

Rush members can get involved in the REACH program in a variety of ways, including organizing drives to collect gently-used jerseys and other soccer equipment as well as donating cash to the program.

“We’re excited about offering our club members the opportunity to participate in this incredible program that underscores many of Rush’s core values,” Brandon Timlin said. “When the time comes for us to get involved in a REACH donation drive, I look forward to the positive impact it will have on our members as well as the good it will do for young soccer players overseas.”
