Referees are a huge part of each and every soccer match.  United FC Rush recognizes this and values every referee that suits up to take on the challenge. 

From league games to rec games to tournament games, United FC Rush has a multitude of opportunities for referees. Referees can be as young as 11 years of age (Junior Referee program) or 13 years old for USSF certification and can begin working games in the United FC Rush area. 

1/5/2023 - NEW REFEREE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR 2023 SEASON.  Existing referees may re-certify! 

All certification is now done through the USSF Learning Center. THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM PAST YEARS!

SELF ASSIGNING IS DONE THROUGH GAME OFFICIALS

If you are certified and signed up with Game Officials, you can now start the self assignment process.   

Look at the "date range" if you don't see games out in the future enough and adjust it for 2-3 weeks at a time to view.  IF you think you have done everything and still can't select games, please email Chad and I can check your settings: referees@unitedfcrush.com

Question: "Why can't I Center above age XX?"    ANSWER: 2022 US Soccer rules REQUIRE referees to be 2 years older than the age they are at CENTER.  We can not change that rule. EVERY club in the United States has to follow this rule. 

Q. "Why can't I AR above ageXX?"   ANSWER: We are required to verify that all referees are working at "appropriate" levels, or at least we try!  New (1st & 2nd) referees will need to demonstrate their ability to perform well before we enable the higher levels. That being said, if you are a 14 yr old referee in their second year and feel really comfortable to AR at U15, please email Daneen or Chad. 

GAME ASSIGNMENT / SELECTION

All Game Assignment in 2022 will be handled by The Referee Advocates. 

1.) Please fill out the United FC Rush Survey and Daneen will be in touch with you soon. 

2.) You will need a GameOfficials.net account if you do not already have one.  Group number 1670;  Access code TRA2022.

3.) If you already have a GO account... To join TRA (The Referee Advocates) on GameOfficials.net, you will need the following:  group number 1670;  access code TRA2022.

4.) Once you have completed all of these steps, you are ALMOST all set to work for STMA United!  Send an email to Daneen at The Referee Advocates (TRA) and copy Chad on it telling us you are ready to work!   daneen@therefereeadvocates.com   & Chad is at:   referees@unitedfcrush.com

6. ) To get paid, be sure to sign up for GoPay on GameOfficials.net to get paid on time! Click on the "My Payments" tab on the left side of the GameOfficials.net screen after you have logged in and follow the on-screen instructions.

7.) Lastly, you will not get paid if you do not send us a completed and SIGNED W9!  Fill it out and email it to: Daneen@therefereeadvocates.com

Existing referees who want to work for United FC Rush in 2022 need to register with THE REFEREE ADVOCATES. New Referees will still need to get certified through the Minnesota SRC. For the 2022-2023 season, The Minnesota State Referee Committee NO LONGER handles training and certification for new and returning referees. This is now ALL completed through the USSF Learning Center.

MINNESOTA SRC IN-PERSON COURSES 2023!

To become a new referee, you will need to follow the instructions from the Minnesota SRC website. All of the online training is now done through the US Soccer Learning Center.  AFTER you have completed the "online" training, you will still need to do the In-Person training here in Minnesota. The registration for that course is also in the USSF Learning Center.  COURSES WILL FILL UP!!!

The current course dates are as follows:

DO NOT WAIT UNTIL APRIL!  Why!?!?!.... Those course fill up.  You may miss some of our on-field trainings. Game Assignments can start in early April and you'll miss being able to get games right away. 

Yes, there are tons of games. However, YOU can only work when YOU are available which will not be every single day.  Do not wait to get certified!

You must be 13 years old. Information on how to get certified is on the Minnesota SRC website. All training and certification for the 2022-2023 season is now done through USSFLC (United States Soccer Federation Learning Center).
